Bed Rail Connection System kit includes 5/16" threaded inserts, threaded rod, nuts and slotted washers for 4 bed rail joints, plus 8 wood dowels. To install, drill a 35mm (1-3/8") flat-bottom hole and perpendicular 5/8" through-hole in the bed rail, and a 17/32" hole in the bed post to house the threaded insert.
Assembly Instructions

STEP 1
Screw the 5/16-18 x 3-1/2 threaded stud into the insert until it stops. Put the nut 3 to 6 turns onto the end of the threaded stud. | STEP 2
Slide the rail over the nut and into mating holes for dowels on the bed post. | STEP 3
Slide the curved washer in place as shown and tighten the nut with the wrench provided. |
TIP:
To speed installation and ensure accurate drilling, use the Rockler JIG-IT Drill Guide and 35mm Long Shank Forstner Bit for the bed rail boring. The JIG-IT sets up quickly to produce accurately placed, flat-bottom holes in the exact depth required.
